NICET is the credentialing body that recognizes qualified engineering technicians and technologists. Its certifications—widely specified by employers—cover disciplines such as fire alarm systems, inspection/testing of water-based systems, electrical power testing, and more.
Texas Department of Public Safety
Texas DPS is the statewide public-safety agency; through its Regulatory Services Division it oversees several licensing programs relevant to our industry—most notably the Private Security Program, which licenses and regulates alarm companies, installers, and related services.
